The 3rd Doctoral Academic Forum of China Agricultural Machinery Society was successfully held

　　On October 18, 2025, the Third Doctoral Academic Forum of the China Agricultural Machinery Society was held in Hefei. The forum aims to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, and the National Education Conference, firmly grasp the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, and actively respond to the call of the times to build a strong agricultural country. I hope to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation among doctoral students in the fields of agricultural machinery and agricultural engineering through this platform, guide young students to cultivate a strong love for agriculture, develop agricultural skills, and lay a solid talent foundation for achieving high-level agricultural technological self-reliance and self-improvement. This forum is jointly hosted by the China Agricultural Machinery Society and Anhui Agricultural University, and jointly organized by the Editorial Committee of the China Agricultural Machinery Society, the School of Engineering of Anhui Agricultural University, and the editorial department of the Journal of Agricultural Machinery. More than 200 people, including Researcher Yuan Yanwei, Chairman of the China Agricultural Machinery Society and General Manager of the China Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences Group Co., Ltd., Professor Cao Haiqun, President of Anhui Agricultural University, as well as special guests, industry experts, and representatives of doctoral students from 37 universities and research institutes across the country, attended the forum. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Chen Liqing, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Anhui Agricultural University.

President Cao Haiqun stated in his speech that Anhui Agricultural University is honored to participate in hosting this forum and warmly welcomes all participants. Principal Cao emphasized that agricultural mechanization is crucial for driving modern agriculture towards high-quality and efficient development. And we hope that through this forum, doctoral students can collide ideas, inspire new knowledge, and contribute to the rapid development of agricultural equipment on this high-level communication platform.　　

Chairman Yuan Yanwei pointed out in his speech that we are currently in a great era driven by technological revolution and industrial transformation. The key to modernizing agriculture lies in the modernization of technology, and the fundamental driving force for technological breakthroughs lies in talent. This forum is not only a platform for deepening academic exchanges, but also a stage for young students to establish friendships and expand cooperation. I hope that through this forum, everyone can showcase their insights, seek advice from experts in the field, meet close friends in the same industry, and actively integrate their personal academic pursuits into the grand blueprint of national development.

　　The forum has six sub forums, including agricultural robots, field agricultural machinery and equipment, intelligent technology for agricultural equipment, smart agriculture technology, intelligent detection technology, as well as oral presentations and poster displays on agricultural bioenvironment and energy engineering, agricultural soil and water engineering. During the one-day forum, doctoral students engaged in in-depth academic exchanges around multiple research directions. The report is rich and colorful, covering various aspects from basic theory to practical application. The forum invited 25 well-known experts in the industry to provide on-site comments and interact with doctoral students. It not only provided professional guidance and direction guidance for doctoral students, but also actively promoted thinking collision and experience sharing, helping them discover shortcomings, improve quality, and promote growth.

The forum also specially set up a doctoral micro salon section, providing a relaxed and enjoyable communication platform for participants. In the micro salon, doctoral students discussed their respective research fields and topics of interest, creating a lively and lively atmosphere that added a lot of fun to the forum.

A total of 121 oral reports and 96 wall posters participated in the evaluation of this forum. After strict selection by expert judges, a total of 42 excellent oral reports and 32 excellent wall posters were selected.

The successful hosting of this forum is not only a showcase of academic achievements, but also a collision of ideas and wisdom, providing a high-level platform for young students to exchange ideas, share achievements, establish cooperation, and grow together. It contributes the wisdom and strength of youth to ensuring national food security and promoting the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation.
